"I had to find a place to stay for the night so I decided to stay here because it was cheap. I had a 6 am appt for my 3 year old daughter and I live in the San Juan islands so I wasn't able to just catch a morning boat . There were people banging stuff around in their rooms, Hitting walls ? Moving things? This was going on at 2 am and it was keeping my daughter awake . I gave her a bath around 10:30 since we came in so late and I wanted to make her more relaxed. After running the bath I realized that there was a sharp hole in the bathtub about 1 and a half inches long . Trying to keep her from touching it and hurting herself. Finally got her into bed and the people next to us were so loud. Shes 3 and had to have surgery at 6 am . When we checked out around 530 am and headed to her appt she kept saying she is itchy ,few hours later I started feeling itchy . POSSIBLY bed bugs I will not be going back."

"Excellent decor, lighting and ambiance in lobby. Excellent food both in breakfast area and restaurant. Excellent staff throughout. Room was spacious, nicely furnished and well lit. Pool area in central courtyard REALLY needs work. Cement floor is very visibly worn, plants are sparse and a little anemic, pool itself needs updating, all of which results in a large focal point space that is uninviting. Then there is the powerful odor of chlorine that wafts into your nose the minute you enter the area, yuk! Decor in the restaurant needs updating, ugly color scheme, harsh lighting, needs to be softened."

"Honestly I made the reservation before reading the reviews but did read them as I was on the way there and it made me nervous. As I went to the front desk it was around 9:30pm and there was no one there, waited about 10 minutes and someone finally made it to the counter. I was checked in by two people and one was very nice and the other one was strictly business with zero customer service skills but you can tell this is just how they are, straight business. As I walked to the room I was confused how wide the hallways were, it is larger than a one lane road. My key cards would not work but someone who I think was the owner walked by and he used his Mastercard to let us into the room and he went to the front desk to get replacement keys for us. As I looked around the room I was surprised how large it was, it had zero smells and it was clean. The room itself is very bare bones, the remote had issues working, only two towels versus a normal hotel that has at least 4, only one bar of soap so you have to use it between the sink and the shower. The room hasn’t been upgraded it seems since it was built but it wasn’t falling apart. For the price of the room of $130 I would stay there again if a newer hotel wasn’t available for around the same price but honestly I would stay there again versus taking my chance at another older hotel. The area that the hotel was at wasn’t a sketchy area and it made it pretty simple to get to everything in the area."
