Heartland Inn

8/10 Good

"Room was clean and as expected. Pillows were very flat and small. Needed more for two queen beds (4 total). Asked the front desk for a couple more and they happily obliged Complimentary breakfast was good. Wish they had tobacco sauce for scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy would have been a great add-on. This is nit-picky stuff. Overall the stay was great, the staff was friendly, and the value for the price was on point."

Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Coralville, IA

8/10 Good

"The room that I booked was huge compared to other rooms we stayed at over the months. I realized I may have booked a handicap room but it helped with the bed being a little lower and the toilet wasn't the normal one that is low it was higher just like at home easier to get up from. The chairs were soft to sit in and the couch was great. The bed when you first walked in looked like it had lumps in it. Still a little hard for my first choice but better than the Hilton that we stayed before. Just wish it had a softer bed. They had the heat on which was good we turned it up for it to be comfortable in our room. There was a smoke alarm going off every hour from 10pm to midnight then it stopped. Just one burst then it stopped every hour. At least it finally stopped and we could get some sleep. The light when you come in didn't really work but then it came on after a few minutes. The TV was great you didn't have to be technology challenged to have it work like the last stay at a Hilton. Over all we will stay again at this hotel. It was only 8 miles away from where we had an appointment for medical care for my husband. The cabinet which held the microwave and fridge the doors on it needs some work so they closed better. The pillows are soft so if you need firmer ones better bring your own. The next time I stay at any hotel I'll do that."

Hilton Garden Inn Iowa City Downtown University

10/10 Excellent

"Great location downtown in Iowa City. Convenient parking for a fee-not bad. Fantastic rooftop restaurant, The Vue, that overlooks the city/campus! The facility also offers an outdoor, partially covered, cocktail area. Be sure to make a reservation on football weekends."

Sleep Inn & Suites Mount Vernon

8/10 Good

"Hotel was nice and was quiet when we stayed. The room heater/AC was really loud though. Kept me up most of the night. Breakfast was okay, but seemed a little lacking considering the price of the room. No muffins or bagels, and the milk was just a gallon you had to use for your cereal which seems kinda odd."
