Longview Cottage with views to compliment its name and close to cooperstown

This is a new home built 15 years ago it is fully furnished with new furniture. It sits on 5 acres. If you like to Hike, there is a local trail 1.5 miles away (Texas school house walking trail) and 10 miles away is gilbert lake State Park with plenty of trails and a Lake and beach. There is no hunting on the property but you can also visit any of the local state parks for that. In the winter you can ride snowmobile or cross-country ski. There are several golf coarse within 15 min of the property. If you just want to relax and take in the views you wont be disappointed . There is fire place inside . There are plenty of outdoor activities with several lakes near by for fishing and boating . If you like beer and wine their is also several wineries and brewery in the area. If you are here for the baseball camps they are both 20 to 25 min away.

Perfect remote getaway

The house was beautiful and spacious, the views even more gorgeous. Property was large with lots of space for my dog to run to her hearts content. It was nice and quiet, perfect for getting away to relax. Groceries and food were 30 minutes or less away. Would love to stay here again!

Very well kept property with amazing views. Appreciated the AC when it warmed up and overall house had all we needed. Love the peace and quiet to slow things down enjoy the stay. Property owner was very quick to respond to any request and showed up quickly when needed. Again loved the views, trail, and wildlife. Would stay here again!

Lovely stay, nicer than advertised!

This was an absolute gem of a property - it's even nicer than the photos. It's very open and airy, a lot of space for the 3 of us and our 2 dogs. The pups appreciated having the big open space to run and play outside - we brought a tether along and strapped it to a sturdy tree while they ran about. The view from out back at sunset is stellar, and the property is private while still being a short drive to some of the great spots to see in the area!

Awesome place. If you like serenity, this is the house. deer and turkey in the yard most days. Beautiful view of the mountains. Bed was a little firm for our liking but overall, a great house. very clean. 20 Minutes from Cooperstown Dreams Park

Great place

We needed somewhere close to dreams park and this place was great for us. About 20 minutes or so from dreams park and 15 minutes from a golf course for my older teen and I. Had enough room for the 4 of us. I loved the kitchen and big family room. Rich was very nice and responsive. Had a storm roll through the first day and he came and hooked us up to a generator until power was restored (about 2 hours).

We had an incredible time staying at this property. It was exactly as listed and completely clean. Very scenic, quiet, but with fully reliable internet, power, and hot water. The fire place was functional and really added to our experience. The only knock would be that the location doesn't have many food options available, but the kitchen space is huge and there's a grill outside so we had no trouble making delicious meals. The host was responsive, generous, and helpful. Highly recommend checking this place out for a weekend or longer.

A place to call home

My son and II stayed in the house with my dog Grover. The place was as described. About 25 minutes from Cooperstown. Plenty of hiking trails. Lots of room on the property for my dog to run and play. it was our home away from home. The cows nearby were lovely to see. My dog loved looking at them from a distance and they at him. They both ate grass together. Great place to stay. Bring your own shampoo and soap.

Is This Heaven?

No…. This is Mount Vision. But my spouse & I were overwhelmed by the spacious beauty of the property. Look off to the right for an Amazing sunrise & then after a fun day in Cooperstown… look to your left for an Amazing sunset! If you’re into it there’s a smart TV w/ awesome Apps. A “make your vacation” fireplace & of course seclusion if you desire that. I had a problem lighting the bbq so called the owner & he fixed it in a flash! Nice guy as well I think. Now if there were any “cons” there were 2. First the kitchen area was “clean” but if you’re a germ nut it wasn’t “eat off the counter” spotless so to be quite honest we did like 5 minutes of cleaning ourselves & that’s all it took!! That’s it! The other “con” is that you have to travel to get anything at all. We followed GPS to get to a General Store only to find that it seems it’s been closed for years. We went all the way back to Cooperstown to buy something (about 25 mins.) & maybe thrre was a better alternative but we didn’t want to bother the owner again. Bottom line we left saying: “gee.. I wonder what he’d take to buy this place!!???” We loved this place!
