Lovely weather - it rained at night, but the covered walkway from the bedroom to the bathroom and kitchen kept us dry. The hot water outdoor shower was very nice. "This place is very rural. Katherine is a very nice host.The unit itself is about 10 ft by 20ft. The inside table for dining is in the photo with a glass top. There are two stools, a coffee maker, a small fridge, and a Queen-sized bed on a platform. The mattress was very comfortable. It might be a bit challenging for older guests to get on the bed. There is an outside table with umbrella and chairs. The stove and sink with utensils and crockery are on a prep surface outside of the bedroom. The...

"This is not a luxury resort, this is a wonderful little slice of rural Puna. This was my second stay, and definitely not my last. Don’t expect luxury amenities because that isn’t what this place is. It is a charming little room in the middle of an ohia forest."

"Check in process was smooth and easy. The property had enough of the basic kitchen utensils to cook meals, the grill worked well. The small heaters provided quickly warmed up the cabin when needed. Bring plenty of fire starter if you plan to use the wood oven/ fireplace. The view from the back porch was as advertised, this felt like a very private getaway.
