The hotel is well maintained despite amenities seems a bit older in the bathroom, with the room equipped with kettle. We were provided with chocolate egg and madelines as welcome candies & snack, which is a nice touch.
12/30/24- HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY. We had to catch a train at 5:55 AM. Cit'Hôtel le Welcome was the perfect place for it. Really less than 5 minute walk to the train station, therefore easy access to both the train and the Altibus to the ski stations of the Savoie! We did not spend much time there to enjoy the area, and the proprietor seemed very nice. We were in and out very fast. Quiet area, clean room with the necessary essentials. With a great imagination my daughter said the hotel reminded her of the movie "The Shining" with a green glow in the dark hallway. But I thought it was charming.
If you have to catch a train or come in on one and need to take an early bus to a ski station, this is a wonderful place. They also have a kitchen serving breakfast and lunch.
I would return any time.
Our hostess was very friendly and accommodating and even offered to make us eggs for breakfast (even though it wasn’t part of the free continental breakfast)
Excellent very large and comfortable bed. Good lighting for reading. Kettle and tea bags provided, but no milk. Exceptionally handy for the station. Recommended
Location was good for the mountains. The property is very tired. The restaurant was non existent it simply wasn’t open with no explanation but much of Moutiers seemed shut down and we had to hunt for somewhere to eat each night. Only saw staff at breakfast, although helpful when we did see them :)
Overall, acceptable for a night stay before a super early transfer, but we really wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer than that.
The noise from other guests opening and closing their door each night was very loud. We were also facing the train station so that was equally as loud.
The rooms need a serious makeover and aren't up to 2024 standards in my opinion.
Bathroom didn't feel overly clean, but I think that's more the interiors than anything else.
We booked last minute and wouldn't book again.
