"Dream luxury rooms provided a cozy oasis during my time in Split. The location was easily walkable to old town and the beach, as well as grocery store and restaurants. "We had travelled around for 6 weeks and this had to be the worse bed I've ever tried to sleep in. You could feel every spring in the mattress and when moving the bed would creak. Everything stunk like smoke and you had to pay extra for the air conditioning!! We choose this hotel as it had private parking, however when we got there we were advised we would have to park on the street 200m away next to a building site which wasn't peace of mind when you have a rental vehicle. Hotel Ambasador

10/10 Excellent

"I had a spacious premium room with a balcony and gorgeous mountain and sea views. Everything felt clean and comfy, and the bed was super cozy. Loved how easy it was to walk to the seafront, Old Town and even the hill park, plus, the bus station was close. Staff were really helpful and attentive. Breakfast wasn’t huge but tasted good. Spa time was a highlight, go for the hot stone massage if you can. The only small thing is I couldn’t find a night light in the bathroom, so it was a bit tricky at night. Loved my stay in Split. Definitely recommend!"

Amphora Hotel

"We stayed at the Amphora in October break which meant the hotel was relatively quiet, it appeared as if they’d reduced the staff. The main restaurant disappointingly was closed, we were served in the breakfast room by a single waiter who was unable to cope with demand - food there was not great. Location is fine as long as your either up for a long but pleasant walk or happy to take a taxi, beware some of the local taxis are fierce at overcharging €95 for 2 miles from port to hotel - after that one I used Uber for everything which was good. The promenade and beach were excellent. Spa facilities were good easy to access with capacity in October, would be interesting in August. Room was nice and clean with amazing view of Adriatic Sea from balcony. Overall I would recommend staying in the hotel and eating out, Split city was very interesting with nice cafes and restaurants"

"The front of the building has an elevator but the back of the building were our rooms are located has none. You have to go out the front building and walk to the side and enter the doors of the back building which I feel is unsecured. It could dark at nights and might stepped on dog poop(?). Else everything is fine. You have to ask for a kettle since they didn't leave one in our room. There is a receptionist at least always. Taxi or Uber could not enter the narrow road and needs to walk a little bit only."

"Loved this property. We were lucky enough to be upgraded and had a balcony which was lovely to sit and play cards with a drink. There was also a washing machine and a couple of all in one tabs which was helpful. Very central but also easy to park close by. As this was an apartment, we could have cooked, everything was provided, as well as a coffee machine. Couldn’t fault it at all. Breakfast was up the road in a small cafe, also nice"
