"The property was absolutely breathtaking! The layout was perfect, with easy access to incredible marine life for snorkeling, which I spent hours enjoying. Having the water taxi port so conveniently located was another huge plus. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better location. It was everything we could have hoped for and more!"

"Still amazing! Great updates and superb food! It had been a few years since our last stay at Hotel Mayan Princess, and we couldn't be happier with our return. The recent renovations look fantastic, and the entire property is extremely well-maintained and beautiful. A special thanks to the staff (particularly Jenn) for being so warm and helpful throughout our stay. To top it all off, the food was spectacular, just as I remembered! Can't wait to visit again."

"We loved our stay at Puerta Azul. They have their own dock to start snorkeling and kayaking from, as well as boat pickups of you prefer tours to reach farther destinations. Breakfast onsite was great with a weekly rotating menu. One thing to note is that the onsite restaurant is the only convenient but expensive option for lunch and dinner. The main road is not comfortably walkable, although we did do it a few nights for more variety. The front desk can also call taxis for you. The reef outside had some amazing snorkeling and was the highlight of the stay. We saw an octopus, 2 types of rays, jellyfish, squid, and countless fish species over the span of 5 days. Very few other hotels have set up here so we had the reef all to ourselves."

"Las Verandas was a great choice. The room was beautiful and spacious with a wonderful balcony and the food was delicious! The grounds are very well maintained and the ground around the pools never gets hot. The concierge was very helpful, booking us a snorkeling trip and providing other helpful information. The one downfall (no fault of Las Verandas) was the no-see-ums, so bring bug spray and use it!"
Fantasy Island Beach Resort, Dive and Marina All Inclusive

"Truly the most beautiful beach we saw during our entire time on the island. This private island is absolutely gorgeous. The beach alone makes it worth the visit. The rooms could use some updating, and the food felt more like filler food than anything memorable. That said, the drinks kept coming and the beach was easily the best we experienced anywhere on the island. If you want to avoid crowds and simply enjoy a stunning beach in a peaceful setting, this resort is a great choice. Unfortunately, you will need to wait for them to rebuild. The resort actually burned to the ground the same day we checked out. Quite a shocking end to an otherwise beautiful stay."
