"Our room was small but clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed a bottle of wine which was reasonably priced and the fish and chips were delightful. Our evening meal was also delicious and so nice not to be rushed. All staff were very helpful and friendly, we only stayed one night but would certainly recommend."

"Stayed 2 nights at the Hoop Inn, bed extremely comfortable, staff all attentive and friendly. Evening meal was excellent and the breakfasts set us up for the day. Plenty of safe off road parking. "Right in the center of town and an easy walk from the train station in Barnstaple. Everything is right there in walking distance and it's all just as funky and charming and welcoming as can be! The hotel's foundation has sunken a bit (or more in some places) which is charming but a little disconcerting if you're thinking you might fall out of bed!"
