"Great hotel for a weekend stay. Clean and close to bus stop and walking distance to the train station. Breakfast on the Sunday was ok. Unfortunately the scrambled eggs were packaged and bought in very watery and weren’t very appealing and there was no option of other eggs available. We would have liked to see haggis, square sausage and tattie scones too since we were in Scotland but it was more of and English breakfast. The parking was a mission. The bar is very low, we drive an estate but because we had a roof box we couldn’t fit under the bars and had to phone the hotel to find out alternative parking. Overall nice hotel and nice staff."

"Very nice hotel with a comfy bed and good breakfast. All the staff were pleasant and helpful and the room was clean and tidy. Good parking on site. Only downside was the traffic noise and the room being very warm. Would stay again if in the area."

"It was an amazing find, travelling South on a long journey from Stornoway to Keswick. I began to feel tired in the afternoon, so I stopped the car went onto Expedia and found this place. The price was very reasonable for August, and the hotel was lovely, a little off the beaten track, but there was a local shop 2 mins away. Staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. I’m going to bookmark this one."

"We were delighted with our stay in Strathaven hotel. We wouldn't hesitate to book in the future. There is a lovely atmosphere in the hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The bedroom and ensuite were beautiful with a very comfortable bed. We had a very restful night. We both thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. Alongside side the buffet continental breakfast there is a full menu which you can be order fresh from the kitchen. Very tasty indeed with hearty portions. Thank you. We would highly recommend"

"All good and what you pay for but you can’t beat the views and it is so convenient. All clean. All the basics what you need and so thankful they accept dogs. It’s our favourite stop off for visiting north Scotland"
