It’s in a private area with gate system which gives a very secure feeling although being in a sleepy village there wasn’t any cause for worry. parking space for 2 cars. We were glad of the airco in the dining area as temperatures got quite high in the afternoon/evening. "We just returned today from a 5-day stay at Siebenfelsen. The host family was very hospitable and generally welcoming. The house is immaculately clean and lovingly and thoughtfully decorated. The street the house is on a two lovely Gasthäuser within walking distance and is only a short drive away from the main village of Elzach, which is just gorgeous. We highly recommend staying here and would love to be back again in the future."

"Terrasse envahie par les mauvaises herbes, 2 des chambres en mezzanine qui donnent sur la cuisine et le salon sans aucune aeration donc irrespirables quand il fait chaud, pas de détecteur de fumée, équipement de base non présent ( passoire, planche à découper...). A noter la proximité immédiate d'une ferme d'élevage et des inconvénients associés. Dommage, car la propriété et ses environs sont très agréables, avec la proximité d'un plan d'eau avec sa petite plage."

"This is a perfect holiday location....the apartment has everything you need & was spotlessly clean. Gengenbach is probably the prettiest town we saw in the Black Forest & a fantastic base to explore the region. We stayed 11 nights & used the train on the Konus card scheme every day bar 1.....great for taking the stress away & having a German beer or 2! Anja was fantastic in welcoming us & giving lots of tips on where to eat etc....she was always at the end of the phone if we had a question....

The kitchen is very well equiped, with all you need for cooking and eating your meals at home. There's also a washing machine, that's very helpful if you're traveling for a long time. "We stayed a week in this lovely cottage. I cannot praise it enough. The location is fantastic in a lovely quiet little village close to good amenities in nearby Benfeld. It is great for exploring Colmar, Strasbourg, Alsace and the Black Forest. The cottage is comfortable and very well equipped with everything we needed. "This was a very large property which catered well for our needs. Communication was easy. The town was limited in what it offered but this could have been due to holidays. Free train passes were provided which was great. Extra and firmer pillows would have beeen nice! Thank you very much for a lovely stay."

The house was lovely and had a BBQ which we didn't use but was always available. The village is very quaint with a very small shop for bread (and toothbrushes!). Being fairly remote you need a car but theres two large supermarkets about 5 mins away and Selestat offers lots of larger shops as well as good rain connections to Colmer, Basel and Strasbourg. "A great place to stay. The house was absolutely lovely. Very clean and comfortable. There is a bakery in the village about a minutes walk away which is delicious. The house has a lovely patio outside and a garden. The hosts Marie Antoinette and Robert did so much to make us welcome and ensured we had a super holiday. They are the best hosts. Anyone who stays here will certainly love the property and the hosts!"
