Crosscut Cabins- Minutes from Lake, River, & Diamond Mine! Private Hiking Trail!

  • Our cabins are in a quiet outdoor setting, located in a central location for all of the area attractions. Located less than a half of a mile from the Little Missouri River and minutes from the Crater of Diamonds State Park, Lake Greeson and other area attractions. Our cabins are 2 bedroom with Jack and Jill bathrooms that includes a washer and dryer. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed that can sleep 2 comfortably and we provide queen sized blow up mattresses for kids or extra guests to use in the living area. The cabins also have a full service kitchen with appliances as well as a pub style eat-in table. The living room features an electric fireplace and smart flat screen TV. Outdoor features a covered picnic area with grill and outdoor sink. You can also roast marshmallows or simply enjoy the fire in our fire pit. Also now available, our Private Walking Trail, as well as a basketball court and horseshoes.

Cabin had everything needed for a visit and location was lovely

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin - everything was provided and the cabin was very clean. The only hiccups we had were directions to use the cable weren't very clear and cell reception in the area is iffy. But, we were really there to enjoy the scenery and family time so these were "minor inconveniences". The Host was very responsive and we would recommend a stay at the cabin.

The lodging is very nice, and well worth it. You may need to stock up on some cleaning supplies, and be cautious of the outside spigot freezing during the cold season though.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin and the peaceful walking trail through the woods. Our sons loved the river nearby. The covered outdoor area and picnic table was useful for clean up after a day of diamond digging and crystal mining with the kids. Will be back if we’re in the area again.

Great cabin

The cabin is great. Although the spa tub did not seem to work the kids were disappointed by that. Should be a mention of the dam releasing the water on the river. We got caught with part of the family stuck on the opposite bank and had to be rescued.

Loved this property. Cozy quiet! Only issues which I let the property know out of 8 lights in living room only 3 worked. Just several lights were out and we could not reach them to changed due to high ceilings. There is a weird smell as you enter cabin so we got candles and spray I figured it’s from all the wood in the house. Besides all that no deal breakers it was awesome! No grocery store close so bring groceries or drive 30 minutes.

ReviewWould recommend with some heads up. Cabin was clean, private, and comfortable with lots of space inside and especially outside for my two young ones to run around and play. It’s private, quiet and DARK. We got in late and wish a porch light had been left on because it’s pitch black. The ceiling fans in each room were great. We didn’t turn on the jets but the deep tub was great for small kids. The queen size beds are more like full size and the air mattress that makes the cabin sleep 6 was chucked on the closet floor with a manual pump. We didn’t deal with it and made other arrangements. The basic soaps mentioned was a hotel soap bar, there was no dish sponge and only half a roll of paper towels provided. The floor has a slight tackiness though like it’s only ever cleaned with a swiffer. The walking trail that is mentioned was also closed and looked like it has been for some time so that was disappointing. Overall the cabin served its purpose and was a comfortable place to stay for one day and two nights. I’m glad the stay wasn’t longer though.

Peace and quiet

The property was in a nice location, not too far from town if you need anything. It did have some missing light bulbs (burnt out), which could be easily fixed. It would be nice to have an awning over the back deck. It had excellent WiFi, which was confusing via the communication we had with the property manager. So, if you’re reading this review, please know it’s great!
