"Fantastic hotel. The indoor outdoor pools were absolutely phenomenal. Warm heated pools you can float outside and look up at the Alps right in front of you, or at night lean back and catch all the stars. Great spa, great sauna. Really top notch. The included breakfast is also superb; all of the best German breakfast foods…you could not want for one thing more!! The staff was helpful and attentive, they booked our Zugspitze gondola and cog railway passes right at the front desk. Loved staying here and would absolutely return! Vielen Dank!"

"Quaint hotel, Andrea’s was really Friendly and helpful. Conveniently located in lovely Garmisch. Good amenities, the rooms are a little dated, but served our needs well and beds and shower comfortable. Lovely breakfast included. Great option!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were so friendly and helpful…. Even during a fire alarm when they were graciously handing out blankets to guests. The breakfast was superb! And the room was lovely. We would absolutely stay here again. PS - room with a balcony facing the mountains is the way to go and don’t sleep on the guest pass (we rode free to mittenwald, saving about $100!)."

"Great hotel with interesting history relating to winter olympics. A variety of rooms. Attractive Bavarian decor around the hotel including traditional furniture. Accepts dogs. A wide selection of quality food that can be augmented with wines and beers. Numerous forrest walks start outside the hotel by the lake. There is a path down the hillside that allows you to reach Garmish providing you have reasonable fitness. The old road to the hotel is being replaced so no more bumps before arrival. The views in good weather are stupendous. If you stand at the end of the lake near the hotel, you can see the Zugspitze mountain complex. We have visited twice and would love to go a third time or more."

"The setting was beautiful and the room lovely although we did have mosquitoes in our room, probably because the window/door was open upon our arrival to give us fresh air. So we didn’t open it anymore and consequently we were very warm at night. The breakfast was quite good with lots of options. The pool was very nice and refreshing. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed Joseph, our waiter."
