Nice Enough

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: HE203 is a blend of dated and updated. The photos aren’t reflective of the few updates that have been made. The curtains in the living area are ridiculously hard to open and close and block what is a wonderful ocean view. Some of the balcony furniture is really old and needs to be removed and/or replaced. We found the bathrooms to be small and crowded. The condo was nice enough but not as clean as others we have rented through GCR. However, we loved the fact it was on the second level and we could easily use the stairs to come and go.

We like having the elevator too. Garden City Realty is great to deal with also. We will definitely book with them again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Horizon East 203 in the past and returned because of the cleanliness and proximity. Kitchen well stocked. Very clean and comfortable. AC worked great and all electronics worked. Our only issue was the master bedroom mattress was much too soft, guess this is a personal preference, but it felt like sleeping in a marshmallow. While a personal preference, this mattress issue would cause us to rent elsewhere in the future.

They had our room ready by check in and everything was as advertised. The room was clean and everything worked as it should. We love this part of the beach and the security of this resort is great. They resort cleaned the pool and decksearly am...finishing up by 6am. The rooms are quiet, we did not hear any noise from those around us. Will definitely stay here again!

The tv in the main bedroom has a short in the cable going to the tv. I got it to work, with some ——— rigging, had to several nights. Drain was really slow in master bath. All these were little things to us, but might need attention.

Only suggestion I would have is to remove the burgundy red curtains in the living room that obstruct the ocean view. Even open, we had to tuck two of them up into/around the rod since they didn’t entirely slide left or right. Otherwise amazing stay! Would definitely book condo again.

We have stayed here lots of times and the only thing wrong with this place is the parking. Usually if you rent a 3 bedroom penthouse everyone does not come in the same car and you only get one parking space. Other than that everything is good!

Reviewer Comments: So we found the throw rugs very dirty & spotted, the sofa dirty & spotted, the ice maker MISSING and two empty trays to make ice. In fairness, Julie called and said ice maker parts just came in and would be installed next day- never was installed. Guest Service did send a carpet/sofa cleaning guy- looked good fir a day but when dry carpet was still dirty.Kitchen utensil were not plentiful & couple of pans had dried food on them- we cleaned them & they were usable.Horizon East is a great location, beach few steps away, nice pool, exterior property well maintained. We will return but not to this Unit 203.

Horizon East 203- False advertisement and overpriced unit

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First we were told at the beginning of April the pool would be done by the time we came down towards the end of May. It wasn’t open, took at 80 year old mom with us with intentions of have her be able to sit around the pool...she couldn’t and had to stay in the room most of the week. Second the couch, rug in the living room is filthy, floor is dirty, had a plastic lawn chair in the living room instead of the pics showing 2 leather recliners. Only had one. Has a wood/metal rocker on the balcony that was so rusty and dirty, again the pics showed nicer chairs on the balcony. Pics on-line and the info we were given were very mis-leading. For the price we paid for the week, the condition of this unit should have been prestine. We will no longer be going through Garden City Realty anymore in the future.
