Home from home!

We had a lovely time at Lana villa & will highly recommend this gem in Muscat. Oliver the manager, Donna & Mary the domestic support people are very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was great, the location was brillant; just opposit the beach & very quite, there are nearby 3 tasty & cheap Pakistani restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance. Would definitely go back.

Excellent Place

The owner Ali drove us around and toured the city with us! The staff was vested in our well being and we became instant friends! The place was modern, clean, had a great deck and common spaces. Manor resources for exploring Oman I became friends with the driver they connected me with. Free breakfast that includes eggs cooked as you like

Was uns gefallen hat Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Großes Lob. Z.B.: Im Zimmer war kein Fön und als ich danach fragte, hätte mir die nette Dame im Büro sogar ihren eigenen mitgebracht. Hat dann wohl im Hause doch noch einen gefunden. Der Tip für das Restaurant Turkish House war super. Ebenso für die das Laden der Google-maps-App. zum Navigieren. Wir hatten das Zimmer mit Balkon und zum Meer und ist wie abgebildet. Zum Frühstück gab´s auf Wunsch frisch zubereitete Eierspeisen, jedoch ohne Wurst. Was uns nicht gefallen hat: Die Schränke innen waren nicht sauber. Im Bad ist der Ventilator nach draußen voller Spinnweben und auch ziemlich verdreckt. Mit der neuen Badezimmertür wurde wohl schon der Anfang für eine Renovierung gemacht. Gerne hätten wir ein paar Tipps für die Erkundung der Sehenswürdigkeiten bekommen, wie es in einigen Bewertungen zu lesen war. Jedoch haben wir den Besitzer erst am 3. Tag kennengelernt.

Pro: Location excellent. Great beach view from the balcony. Host very friendly and eager to assist with various questions about the area. Breakfasts very nice, buffet style. One of us has Celiac and must be strictly gluten-free. They went the extra mile to accommodate this, getting gluten-free bread and advising which items were safe. Homey feeling. Con: our room 2 flights up, no lift. We needed the exercise, but our 70 yr old joints complained.

Schöne Unterkunft - perfekt zum Ankommen und zur Besichtigung von Muscat. Nicht weit weg vom Flughafen und trotzdem ruhig gelegen. Nette familiäre Atmosphäre, sehr freundliches Personal.

Fronte mare in zona silenziosa. A disposizione tutto il giorno acqua datteri frutta secca. Oliver al mattino era disponibile per ogni info. Camere spaziose bagno finestrato. Il bagno avrebbero bisogno di una rinfrescata ma comunque accettabile,

Gut gefallen hat uns das ungezwungene miteinander der Gäste sowie auch mit Oliver. Man sitzt gemeinsam an einer langen Tafel , bedient sich am Frühstücksbüffet und kommt schnell mit den anderen Gästen ins Gespräch. Wer möchte kann auch im Freien frühstücken oder auf der Dachterasse- jeder wie er mag . Leider ist die Lage der Villa doch recht abseits und einiges an Geld geht fürs Taxifahren drauf. Oliver hat für seine Gäste einen Ordner mit Infos, wo unter anderem auch 2 Taxiapps enthalten sind. Die sollte man sich unbedingt runterladen, da hier auch gleich der Fahrpreis angezeigt wird sobald man ein Taxi per App bestellt. Das ist sehr praktisch ( wir hatten Otaxi). Genial ist die Dachterasse wo man wunderbar den Tag ausklingen lassen kann. Insgesamt ist das Haus für Kurz-bzw.Zwischenübernachtungen zu empfehlen.

Empfehlenswerte Option in Maskat

Vom Flughafen MCT ca. 12 km entfernt direkt an der Küste auf halbem Weg in die Stadt/Mutrah etc. Mit eigenem Fahrzeug etwas tricky zu finden in der Street 37, mit Routenplaner kommt man zur Hausnummer 199. Abends Abholung vom Flughafen via Hotelorga empfohlen. Schöne Dachterrasse und grosser Gemeinschaftsraum, gut um Erfahrungen mit anderen Gästen auszutauschen. Frühstücksbuffet und tagsüber Kaffee/Tee/Datteln/Kekse. Gutes Gratis-WLAN. Zimmer mit AC, Dusche/WC "arabisch" basic, Ablagen und Handtuchhalter verbesserungswürdig. Persönliche Betreuung durch Oliver zurecht viel gelobt, viele hilfreiche Tipps und Informationen. Vielen Dank für diese aussergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft!

Nette kleine Pension unter deutscher Leitung direkt am Fischerstrand. Bei Bedarf wird ein pick up Service vom Flughafen organisiert. Ca. 14 OMR. Lage Ruhiges Viertel . Auto notwendig. Zur Grand Moschee Sultan Qaboos ca. 3 km mit dem Auto. Gut ausgestatteter Supermarkt Mars ein paar Strassen von derPension entfernt. Zum Baden ca. 4 km die Strandstraße in Richtung Flughafen entlang. Um die Ecke zwei authentische Coffee shops sowie ein Fischrestaurant. Nur einheimisches Publikum, aber der Fisch für 6,5 OMR mit Beilagen war phantastisch. Zimmer. Zimmer eher klein, z.T. ohne Schrank dann aber mit Kommode. Die Zimmer selbst sind wahrscheinlicher eher nur zum Schlafen gedacht, denn mit der Lobby sowie der Dachterrasse bieten sich deutlich bessere und gemütlichere Alternativen. Sanitär / Bad okay. Hier sollte man aber nicht vergessen, dass es sich um eine Pension und nicht um ein 4 Sterne Hotel handelt. Frühstück Europäischer Frühstück, auch dunkles Brot. Große Obstauswahl. Auch am Nachmittag gibts Kaffee und Kuchen. Ausstattung Viele tolle Bücher in der Lobby, Bildbände, Zeitschriften National Geographics, off road guide, Computer mit Drucker/Kopierer in der Lobby. Wifi nur in der Lobby, kein TV. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt.

the shower was blocked and the refurbished shower casued flooding in the bathroom and part of the room. The manager apologised and reduced price in compensation. The place is nice and quite, very well located to explore the local beaches and Muscat area. You need a car as in the rest of the country. Quiet and comformtable, The room missed some minor details: a chair, some hooks in room and bathroom, etc.

It is a very nice cosy place with just a few rooms (basically a twin villa converted into a small stay. Very tastefully decorated. Great location overlooking the beach and sea. But don't expect usual hotel facilities. The tea/coffee arrangement is in the dining area. No mini fridge in room.

This villa is a beautiful bed and breakfast on the beach. The photo's of beach chairs are from a rooftop deck; a lovely location to observe beach and socialize from. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this property to people deliberately avoiding a resort feel (Shangri-La, Hilton etc.), or to people prioritizing location. Given the choice between Lana Villa and any 5-star Hotel within Muscat proper, I would always pick Lana Villa. *If you stay at Lana Villa, I also recommend a car rental.

We Loved Lana Villa

We arrived at Muscat and was picked up by a very friendly driver that took us to LANA Villa. When you walk in the atmosphere is Calm and comfortable. It’s like walking into your home after a long days work. We were met by our hostess and she welcomed us and showed us to our room. We were on the top floor in a nice suite. The view was beautiful and across the way was a balcony that looked over the sea. Breathtaking. We Loved this place..
