"Outstanding in all respects. Catherine could not have been more helpful. Staying in such a beautiful old house in a a stunning bastide was a privilege "
"Restaurant is a machine dispensing microwaveable ready meals. Lots of the electrical points were broken. No onsite presence. We had hoped for better than a cheap budget hotel chain offering."
"We'd definitely recommend The Squirrel's Nest. A lovely house and owners. Our room was great, spacious en suite bathroom, air conditioning which with temperatures of 40 degrees outside (canicule), was really appreciated, tea and coffee making facilities on the landing. An easy walk into Gaillac for dinner (bring a torch) and not far from routes to Albi and Toulouse.
Breakfast outside in the shade of trees and the company of other guests and our hosts was delightful. Croissants, bread, homemade...
"Dominique was a wonderful host, friendly and thoughtful. We had dinner there and that was excellent. The place is lovely and the area is outstanding."
"Chateau de Salettes is a welcome haven in a sea of the typical hotels. Its quiet elegance and beautiful surroundings make it an exceptional destination. "

"This was a beautiful hotel, every room generous and well designed, perfectly blending historic with modern style.A 13th century building renovated with love and attention. Located in the historic old town, it was a joy strolling the streets and the sights. The host was welcoming and professional, the breakfast was splendid. It was perfect"
"We had the most amazing stay. Phillipe gave us a warm welcome & showed us around. The whole property is stunning, beautiful designed and decorated. Our room was really big, with windows opening to the pool & gardens. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean modern and perfect. The breakfast was superb with homemade produce, fresh local bread, fruit and much more. What made this really special was the warmth of the host and he went above and beyond to make our stay good. (For example home made gluten free cake) one evening we had the meat cheese plate and a bottle of local wine which was great. The lounge is also nice to sit in with hot drinks available. Also lots of leaflets about the area. There were also lovely added touches like handwash and hand cream in the bathroom. The pool is fabulous. It far exceeded our expectations. It really is and wonderful place to stay. "
"Lovely house in an amazing area of France. The swimming pool and the charm and amenities of the house are outstanding. There are countless short drives (30 min) that'll take you to the most charming villages with breathtaking views, great food and lovely wines."
"Incredible, historic building, good check-in. One must plan to drop luggage and seek parking which is hard to find when visitors are at peak but as the traffic abated in the evening, odds improved."
