The check in process was definitely a disappointing experience to me and I lost 1 night since I tried to communicate in every way possible with the hotel with ZERO success. I tried the number Expedia shared, I tried the number THEY share, Whatsapp, email… I asked if I could arrive at 9-10pm since they say check in ends at 5pm, at 8pm… I had some car rental hiccups and could get earlier. No one replied. The reception is usually alone, and at check out they were...

"Unsere kleine Wohnung im ersten Stock war liebevoll eingerichtet, die Wohnküche so geräumig, dass unsere zwei Kinder (1 und 3) toll spielen konnten. Der Strand ist idyllisch, auf dem kurzen und steilen Weg dahin wachsen Brombeeren. Auch im Garten haben unsere Kinder gerne gespielt. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und entspannt, sodass wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Einziges kleines Manko der Wohnung: kein Seeblick. Aber da ist man ja tagsüber und man kann sie vom Garten aus sehen. Und hinten raus...

"We went there with 19 persons. A wonderful place on the top of a hill so always a nice breeze despite some hot summer days. A bunch of place to be and spread out. Well equipped kitchen to cook for a big group. Nice midsize Pool. The Check-in was quite tricky because the coworker of the Host spoke italian only. "I spent a week in this lovely house. Perfectly situated in the center of the village, near cafes and restaurants run by charming people. Kitchen was ample for preparing breakfast and light meals. Convenient parking and easy access to roads leading to Tuscany, Umbria, and Rome. Easy day trips to Orvieto, Montepulciano, Spoleto, Todi, even Perugia. Luca/host was responsive to emails and phone calls, but also respected our privacy. I would stay here again."

"The convent is a lovely, large 16th century building which we shared as a family of 11 for 2 weeks and found it heavenly. The house is very interesting, fun and the bathrooms are a bit rustic (which adds to it's charm) but the garden is perfection. So beautiful, peaceful, fragrant and the yoga platform inspired me to do yoga every morning looking across the valley at Mount Amiata in the distance. The family used the pool every day. Sandy, the live in housekeeper, is charming and was a big help...
