Disappointing
Firstly Jose & his wife were very kind and took us for our first trip to the supermarket when we arrived and he sorted a flooding problem out in a timely manner. However, there was a definite communication problem as neither of them spoke English as stated on the advert for the property. Unfortunately the villa itself was a big let down and can only be described as unlettable. The second bedroom could only be accessed from outside making it impossible to leave children in there alone. Also the villa had to be left unlocked all night to allow access for bathroom facilities. There was building in progress to enclose this area however this was incomplete. There was a lot of building materials and rubbish (including a mattress) in the grounds. The steps leading to the pool were dangerous with no handrails and the raised terrace was not fenced off. The pool itself was very deep but was only half filled. It was expained that this was for the children's safety which was commendable however, the steps leading into the pool only went half way down making it virtually imossible to use them to get out unless you were a gymnast and could get your leg to shoulder height and the other set were loose and unusable. The pool itself had many missing tiles and the botton of the pool felt gritty with broken tiles. The pool was advertised as heated but this was not correct. It was slightly heated by the glass cover with the sun but at times was chilly. The villa had a four ring hob to cook on but no oven. The microwave was also a conventional oven but was very small and certainly not big enough to cook for 5 people. A lot of the outside plastic furniture was broken causing a nasty deep scratch to one of our groups legs. There were no sun loungers either. We still made the most of the holiday. Sorry to sound so negative and perhaps the property may improve when finished however I can only say how it is now.
