Good food at the restaurant with the paid breakfast.
Rooms had a LOT of space. Very accomodating staff.
No fridge so staff had to keep insulin in the restaurant.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful chalet. The property was clean, comfortable, spacious, and very well maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was excellent, with lovely surroundings and easy access to nearby attractions. It was out of town, but close enough to easily visit the main attractions, while being far enough away to enjoy a peaceful and quiet stay.
The chalet had a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and it was clear that a lot of thought had gone...

We chose Haughton hall as it had good proximity to a family member who lived nearby. The staff were very good and personable. Our room was refreshed nicely every day and when it got hot in the afternoons the heavy drapes soon helped cool the room. Given the age of the property it is in very good shape, at least as good as it was 50 years ago when I went there as a child for school swimming lessons, (it was a school for soecial needs children back then). The pool has been significantly improved...
