Came to research my family's ancestry, with some success. Myjava underwent 'Urban-Renewal' in the communist era. Many older homes lost to make room for factories and apartment buildings. Churches survived, yet not a World Heritage site.

This small hotel had limited services, dated furniture, uncomfortable beds and a very meager breakfast. It leaves a lot to be desired. Perhaps for a business traveler it might suffice, but not for tourists

It was a pleasant stay. I have been staying in this hotel for years since 1999. The hotel has been indeed completely transformed since, with positive changes except for one... Their WiFi and internet connection is getting worse. The WiFi is absolutely non existent no matter where you are in the hotel. ...

If you like old world charm and elegance, this is the place for you. Delightful surroundings with serious healing treatments on offer. The only let down was the food, at times, but otherwise would highly recommended. Definitely returning.

Everything was perfect. Great next to golf resort. Own golf cart. At the lake. Wish we had good weather.
