the host was very nice, our car were stuck in the snow in parking lot and he helped us to clear up a road to get rid of the snow

heavenly bed

Highly recommend this hotel! A 5 minute walk to the Madarao Ski Mountain and a parking lot that cost ¥500/24 hrs. Parking lot never gets full, so you’ll always have a place to park your car if you need. This is an especially great hotel for English speakers! All the staff are from Australia, so their hospitality was spot-on and as an English speaker, it made the stay much more pleasant and easier! Their bed...OMG....so soft. They said they get their beds made custom for their hotels and you can tell. I wanted to take the bed home with me. Hotel is clean, staff is super friendly and it’s a 5 min walk to the mountain with ample parking. Really can’t ask for more in a ski trip. We can’t wait to go back!!

The room size was excellent, beds more comfortable than expensive hotels, the Manager Dan was awesome, any assistance we needed with making reservations for dinner he would sort it. Everything was close by like the ski/ snowboard hire and staff super friendly. Definitely make it a great first time snow experience staying at Hakken.

10 out of 10 in every department

We were not the standard skiing/snowboarding guests at Hakken, but they could not have done more to help us and make us comfortable during our 4 nights with them. The room was perfect for a family of 4, with our 2 boys being 13 and 17, they like their own space, and the room was perfect for that with a divider. The whole team at Hakken were superb throughout. From Dan the Man(ager), to Meht the chef, the housekeeping team and all. Just wonderful nice people who are clearly in the right industry of hospitality. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Perfect. Thanks guys for everything.
