"Stayed at the Shepherd’s Rest as it is close to our daughter’s new house and there are limited chain-hotel options close by. The establishment is a pub with rooms upstairs. No on-site parking but plenty of available spaces on the street outside. No food when we were there but there are lots of other options within walking distance."

"We always visit the White Lion around 3 times per year. Its situated in a great location with free parking. The hotel and food are excellent. We feel its great value for money. Customer service is also excellent. I always recommend the White Lion to friends and damiky. "

"We had a fabulous long weekend at The Vestry celebrating my dad's 80th. The house was an excellent size to accommodate all the family (10 of us), with the living area being a great size for our celebrations, and relaxing. The hot tub was a welcome addition and was well used throughout. The kitchen was well equipped for all of our cooking needs whilst there. There are a lot of stairs to get to all of the various bedrooms, not a problem for most, but my parents had to use the first floor bedroom. I'm pleased to say we didn't do much exploring over the weekend due to the fantastic weather, so we spent a lot of time in the back garden watching deer, pheasants and curlews. Wouldn't hesitate to return."
