Sunlight Eco Tourism Island Resort

Naglayan Island

10/10 Excellent

The resort met our expectations in its beauty, luxury, and service. The setting is stunning with reefs off their beaches accessible by just swimming with a mask and snorkel(free!). It is on an isolated island 40 minute boat ride from Coron town proper. The food is awesome, but not all the restaurants are available everyday. The breakfast buffet(included) is great with enough Pilipino food to keep natives happy! The prices are at luxury levels but reasonable in terms of US dollars. Airport...

We loved this resort! The views are fantastic! Each unit has a terrace for sitting and enjoying the views. They also have made several other places with comfortable chairs and hammocks to sit and enjoy the time. All sorts of water sports are available: kayaks, snorkeling, island hopping, and of course diving! We are not divers but we loved everything else. I went out snorkeling right in front of the resort, straight from our lounge chair. It was gorgeous. Everything we did was gorgeous! ...

Busuanga Bay Lodge

Busuanga

I was expecting "white sand beaches and clear warm waters" as seen in the ads so I paid the price for a "Beach Front Room' only to find out that there is no white sand beach - only mud and muddy waters! We found out later that the islands with beautiful white beaches, clear waters and lagoons can only be reached by boat at a very pricey cost - $120-150 per person depending on your island destination. The Hotel is in an isolated area 1-hour away from the nearest town and as a consequence you pay...

Marina del Sol Resort & Yacht Club

10/10 Excellent

This is a great resort with great views- easily a place you can stay at for days. The villas are scattered and very private, and the vegetation is thick and lush- plenty of flowers. The staff is very friendly, professional, and attentive and will go out of their way to make sure you're happy. I forgot my shoes after a boating trip, but couldn't remember if I had left it at the bus terminal or on the bus itself. The staff did the detective work by themselves, and the shoes were waiting for me,...

Paolyn Houseboats Coron Island

Coron

10/10 Excellent

I have to start off by saying that staying at Paolyn Houseboat was a leap of faith for myself, my wife, and our 3 children. To be isolated in a lagoon next to an island with no degree of infrastructure, caused us some level of uncertainty. BUT OMG, HOW WRONG WE WERE! Staying here offers absolute peace, serenity, and tranquility that could only be described as lifechanging. Kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkeling gear were included, which means that anytime from dusk til dawn was a perfect time to...

It’s a beautiful hotel with stellar management and staff. With each day we stayed there, we became more enchanted with the place. I can’t stress this part enough that the service, attentiveness was stellar. It’s perhaps the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at. I had my wife reality check this statement to make sure that I wasn’t exaggerating and making fair comparisons to other great hotels. I have stayed at hotels with incredible facilities such as one at Lake Como, Italy that was...

We spent 5 nights here in April …. WOW! Peaceful, stunning pool, great variety of western and Filipino meals. Bedroom had everything we needed … great shower, comfy bed, lovely balcony over looking the pool. Very courteous staff and a huge shout-out to Dave the bartender for going above and beyond every night we sat there. Amdo the GM was polite and caring and checked on us almost everyday. Location is close enough to town for us to do the various day trips, dinners and shopping we wanted to do…...

Two Seasons Coron Bayside Hotel

Coron Town Proper

10/10 Excellent

Stayed for three nights and had an EXCELLENT experience. Relieved to have booked the Bayview room, especially now after reading some of the negative reviews regarding the rooms facing the back of the hotel. Keep in mind it’s a small town, so obviously there are going to be roosters like the norm in the Philippines. Anyway, to keep it short, for the prices you’re gonna be paying for this hotel, just take the plunge and book the Bayview room. It’s worth waking up to. We were well taken care of and...

Our stay at Bacau Bay was wonderful! The property was beautiful with great facilities and the staff were so nice and helpful. We spent an entire afternoon relaxing in their beautiful pool and ordering poolside food and drinks. It’s also a short tuktuk ride into town, which the hotel staff were easily able to help call for us. We only stayed one night but could have easily spent many more there.

We had an amazing stay in Sunz. The staff were always greeting us and always ready to help if in need. They are always accomodating. They were very helpful in finding us the tours. So glad none of our time were wasted in Coron as we had our days filled with tours! We stayed in the room just right in front of the pool where we can just dive in any time. The only downfall is their pricey food. But its ok, because they have a free tricycle service that took us to Coron town restaurants for a...
