"Poor value and definitely long overdue due for renovations.
Far out of the way and generally clean and tidy but rundown and way overpriced compared to what else is on offer. Pool water and area were not inviting. Even the Nasi Goreng was overpriced and about as small a serve and basic as they come. I ordered the special. I can’t imagine how they come standard. "Good enough hotel. The food was not very interesting and I got food poisoning on 2 occasions. Roast chicken at the Rooftop Café was good and safe. Not much to do nearby. Lovely people."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Royal Tulip on Guelis mountain near Bogor. The sight of the environment is fantastic. Staff was wonderful, more than professional. Really kind people glad to be of help. Especially Pak Rian of reception was extraordinary by organising personnel to sing Happy Birthday to my daughter, the special gifts, and enquiring afterwards how we liked it. Really good"
"I wanted to stay here for nostalgic reasons - the Hotel Salak was the only hotel in Bogor when I was growing up in this city in the 1970’s to 1980’s. The hotel shows its age, the furniture is dated. The staff is friendly. The room & bathroom are average."

The breakfast was disappointing and very limited. You can hear the traffic outside even with windows closed and it was hard to get a nights sleep. The refrigerator in the room did not work at all.
