Top Nanuya Lailai Island Hotel Reviews

Oarsman's Bay Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"What an amazing place! The staff feel like, no are family. These people are the friendliest most thoughtful people. We arrived just after cyclone Irmil, so the weather was not perfect but the stay was. Vinaka!"

Nanuya Island Resort
6/10 Okay
"When we arrived our aircon wasn’t working, at 31 degrees it was a necessity. They did not have another beachfront of the same category available, so they wanted an extra £50 a night( we were there for 7 nights) to put us in the next category. We refused and after a long discussion they relented and put us there for 4 of the nights. I have to admit both properties were shabby and needed an upgrade. The superior property had a hot tub in the outside shower room. It was dirty with about 2in of dirty water with 2 crabs in. Not a good welcoming start! It was impossible for me to get into the water along the whole length of the resort. They have built a protective wall with lots of slippery rocks to clamber over to get into the water, which is full of grasses . A lot further from the resort is a beautiful beach, sadly, it was too far for me to walk. You cannot use it on a Tuesday and Wednesday as it belongs to Blue Lagoon Cruises and they have it for their exclusive use when the ship docks there. The breakfast that was included was the worst I have had on 9 weeks touring. On the positive side lunch and dinner were the best I had in
Fiji, there for nearly 4 weeks. The snorkelling from the boat was amazing, they were extremely considerate and caring. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly with Oscar, the bartender, the star of the show. Needless to say , we left the island early, without a refund!"

Coconut Beach Resort
10/10 Excellent
"All staff members were so friendly and helpful. You couldn't ask for more. The hut was nice and really clean."

Korovou Eco Lodge
6/10 Okay
"This lodge is not up front about letting you know there is a hefty mandatory per day food charge. I booked through Expedia expecting just lodging but found out after booking my room and the ferry to take me there that there is a non negotiable $20 tender fee and $80.00 op per night food charge. There is nothing on the Expedia site about this and Expedia was not helpful. Unfortunately I booked 2 days prior to arrival and had a non refundable return ticket via the ferry so could not change. There is limited power, no eSIM data and no wifi so I had to keep the booking. Like other island resorts they really need to state up front, before you book, the full cost of staying there. This is an all inclusive not just a room booking as you are lead to believe in Expedia. Expedia is aware an to date has not updated their site. Just be aware the cost is a lot more than advertised. Beachfront Bungalow with Stunning Sea Views – White Sandy Beach Resort
8/10 Good
"The staff were beyond friendly and helpful. They were wonderful , from Kasa the manager, Bunny , Sophia and ? In the kitchen to the guys who provided us with coconuts and fixed any problems.
Our outside shower was fantastic despite occasional water supply problems "

Nabua Lodge Hidden Getaway
10/10 Excellent
"Nabua Lodge
This Lodge was the perfect fit for us in the quieter months
If you are seeking a Fijian family run good value accommodation with tidy welcoming simple bures the Nabua Lodge would be ideal. The grounds are immaculate and the facilities well cared for.
The big bonus was the quality of the meals. The fresh fish was exquisite and the mangoes pineapple and papaya outstanding and the home cooked meals overall were very good.
The staff were attentive caring and very friendly
Ideal for us we would happily come back."

Yasawa Island Resort
10/10 Excellent
"I’ve wanted to visit this place for a long time and finally made it. Although it was a bit of a dodgy start arriving late because of weather, we were met with a beautiful Fijian welcome. I will admit I was a tad disappointed originally being put in a tired bure (no 3) surrounded by renovation work, however we were moved the following day into a Deluxe Bure (no 10) which was amazing and much nearer to the beach and pool area.
I loved the outdoor shower although it could do with extra toiletries here as the Shampoo etc are fixed indoors. I also enjoyed having a personal hammock and beach chairs that I could retire to with my book.
Kadee and her team were absolutely delightful and we ended up having the most amazing 8 nights at this resort. Staff are so friendly and treat you like family. Thank you to Omi, Wati and Manasa (he is very respected being one of the founders) who were always so warm and friendly.
The food options are limited, but it’s incredible 5* food and beautifully presented.
I really enjoyed the relaxing vibe here except for the odd guest who unfortunately spoiled it by having loud video calls and playing annoying tik toks in public. Although there is a small note at the bottom of the menu, this is not easily visible so a polite verbal mention during the arrival transfer may be a better option to keep noise at bay
We also had the same music all week which all the guests noticed and found rather funny so a few more CDs would be good

Navutu Stars Resort
6/10 Okay
"Three of us stayed at Navutu Stars for three nights. The room was beautiful—very spacious, private, and right on its own beach, which we loved.
That said, the resort is extremely small, with one central area for all meals, and the menu did not change during our stay. Getting there requires a four-hour ferry ride from Port Denarau with only one arrival and departure per day, so flights must be planned carefully. The ride can be rough if you’re prone to motion sickness.
Fiji overall is quite expensive, and water is not complimentary with meals, which adds up quickly. The resort is very natural, so there are many insects, which may be uncomfortable for some guests.
Our main takeaway is that this is a very quiet, slow-paced resort. With only about 15 guests and 1–2 short activities per day, most of the time is spent relaxing. The pool is small and not very inviting. If you’re looking for an active resort experience, this may not be the right fit, but it could suit travelers seeking total relaxation and privacy.

Traditional Bure by the beach in the authentic Yasawa Village
10/10 Excellent
"Unforgettable experience. The villagers were all extremely friendly, the food was plentiful and the view and swimming were spectacular.Be sure to take plenty of cash for add ons (boat rides to other beaches, activities, guides, entertainment, etc).It was great to just sink into "Fiji Time" and relax."
