About this property

Napa Silverado studio with west-facing patio, pool a short walk away

  • Summary:

This ground-floor studio sits in the heart of Silverado Resort, its sliding glass doors opening onto a private west-facing patio made for sunset wine. Sleeps 2 in a king bed, with a kitchenette for light meals and the community pool a short walk from your door. The Silverado Trail's wineries begin just outside the gates; downtown Napa and Oxbow Public Market are 2 miles south.

    The Space:

Morning light crosses the king bed and pours through sliding glass doors that open onto your private west-facing patio. This ground-floor studio sits in the heart of Silverado Resort — a simple, comfortable wine-country base for two, with the community pool a short walk from your door and the Silverado Trail's tasting rooms beginning just outside the gates.

The open layout centers on a king bed in crisp linens. A dark wood armoire holds the 32-inch cable TV; a dining nook with a table for two waits for morning coffee or the evening's last pour. There is no full kitchen — a mini-fridge keeps wine chilled and a coffee station starts each morning. The bath finishes with Hollywood-style lighting and a tub/shower for a proper soak after vineyard tours.

    THE SILVERADO TRAIL

The Silverado Trail begins just outside the resort gates — the scenic route locals prefer for its intimate wineries and lighter traffic. Walk to the Silverado Market & Bakery (0.1 mi) for morning pastries, or drive minutes to Whetstone Wine Cellars (0.6 mi), Del Dotto's historic caves (0.6 mi), and the Napa Valley Tasting Barn (0.7 mi). Downtown Napa's walkable tasting rooms and Oxbow Public Market are 2 miles south. This privately owned studio is managed by Casago — no daily resort charge. The Silverado golf courses are not available to condo guests; excellent courses open to the public, such as Chardonnay and Eagle Vines, are a short drive away. The spa and fitness center are open to our guests for a fee — check with the resort for current details.

    OUTDOOR LIVING

Your private patio with bistro table and two chairs faces west — the spot for a glass of the day's find as the evening light goes gold.

    SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

    The Neighborhood:

Downtown Napa's vibrant scene — including 55 walkable tasting rooms and the famous Oxbow Public Market — is just 2 miles south.

    Getting Around:

Napa is about an hour from San Francisco — a scenic drive across the East Bay and up into wine country. You'll have undesignated parking (first come, first serve) in the uncovered lot in the property's uncovered lot. A car makes the valley easy to explore — tasting rooms, restaurants, and vineyards are spread from Carneros up to Calistoga. For tasting days, plan a designated driver or book a rideshare ahead — it makes the whole day easier.

    Other Things to Note:

The studio stays naturally cool thanks to mature trees providing shade, though the window air conditioning unit ensures comfort on warm summer days. This privately-owned studio sits in the interior of Silverado Resort, shaded by mature trees, and is managed by Casago — no daily resort charge. On-site restaurants, the market, and shops are open to all. The Silverado golf courses and main resort pool are not available to condo guests — excellent courses open to the public, such as Chardonnay and Eagle Vines, are a short drive away. The spa and fitness center are open to our guests for a fee set by the resort; please check with Silverado directly for current rates and policies, as they can change. Ground-floor access — roll your suitcase right to the sliding door. The community pool near your condo is open year-round and included in your stay. It is heated from Memorial Day through Labor Day and unheated the rest of the year. Kitchenette only — no full kitchen. The primary renter must be 25 or older. Pro tip: the patio faces west, so save a bottle from the day's tastings for sunset.

Disliked: Listing accuracy
We’ve stayed in many units at Silverado. They used to be furnished the same so you knew what to expect. This unit was disappointing for us on many levels. First, no working porch light & lockbox for an actual key we had trouble finding, getting into & then had to keep up with a key. Although the listing said it was a bedroom & bathroom, it mentioned a “kitchenette”, which my husband thought was the bigger unit including a living & dining area along with a small kitchen as other units we’ve rented. But this had only a bedroom & bathroom with a small table crammed in a corner & “kitchenette” consisting of a small fridge with coffee maker on top in the closet. The tiny tv was in a bulky armoire crammed at an angle in the corner completely in the way. We’re not comfortable watching tv in bed but that’s the only option. The worst was the AC - a “window unit” mounted in the wall we ran 24/7 & were never cool. The pillows were incredibly uncomfortable. Too squishy with no fluffier options. The other issue with sleeping is no blackout curtain on the sliding glass door so all night it looks like daytime with security lights from adjacent buildings. The towels are cheap & nearly non-absorbent. The shower curtain comes off the rings constantly. There’s 2 tiny trash cans that make it difficult for bigger items. One substantial one would be helpful. They advertise a “golf course view” but there’s no view. Outdoor patio is not enclosed like others & not pleasant.
