The Mauian - Boutique Beach Studios on Napili Bay

10/10 Excellent

"I stayed with my boyfriend at the resort for 5 nights after last minute plan changes due to hurricane Lowell on Kauai. We are so happy we stayed at the Mauian, it was so relaxing and wonderful. The location is perfect, it's not as commercial as other places like Kaanapali area. Napili Bay beach is absolutely beautiful, also a short 5min walk to Kapalua Beach. There is a market 2min drive (20min walk), Bob's Snorkeling to rent equipment around the corner. Free parking is also a bonus. Our favorite things at the Mauian were enjoying coffee and Hawaiian buns (provided by Mauian) in the morning on the beach, swimming in crystal clear waters (beach chairs, umbrellas, floaties, and beach towels provided by Mauian) and snorkeling nearby, having lunch and dinner at the delicious Sea House Restaurant next door, and watching the sunsets. We had a partial ocean view room #A202 on the second floor, had our own balcony which was so nice. The room was very clean, comfortable, AC was great, option to cook as well. Overall, I can't say enough good things about the Mauian, it exceeded our expectations and I cannot wait to come back."

"I had stayed in Napili Shores A-206 previously under a different owner, and so I already knew that the unit and location were going to be exceptional. What I didn’t know is that the current owners had raised the visitor experience by more than just a notch - their care and attention to what makes for a pleasant stay exceeded my already high expectations. From such a simple touch like ensuring there are spices in the pantry, to providing luxurious towels in the bathroom and beach chairs and an umbrella for the massive amount of time we planned to spend outside, our stay was absolute perfection. We adored having the Murphy bed so that we could to open up the living area during the day, and the a/c (new to me) was a great upgrade; we prefer taking advantage of the perfect tradewinds by day (and also prefer to enjoy the wonderful sounds and smells of nature) but the a/c made sleeping so much more peaceful.I’m sure all of the other reviews already cover the many advantages of a stay in Napili, including the lovely grounds at Napili Shores, with its fantastic pool and jacuzzi, to this perfect bay with its the laid back vibe so different from the busy megastory hotel experience. My only problem with this trip is that, having stayed in other units at Napili Shores and at other properties on the bay, I might not ever be content staying anywhere besides A206 again."

"I highly recommend this home. We had 9 people from 3 generations ages 13-79. The layout of the house worked very well for us. The beds are very comfortable. The house was immaculate. It is also decorated nicely. Myra and her husband are fabulous. We were there during the hurricane with no power for 24 plus hours. We had just arrived with our big Costco run. They made sure the generator worked to power the refrigerator so we would not lose our food. They came over at 9 pm! Any issue we had they addressed it right away. My only comment is the pool is not heated. If you want it heated it is 100/day. That is fine; I just wish that had been in the original listing. I had never been to the Napali area; only Wailea. It is wonderful. Quiet with a beautiful beach, Walking is fun and easy. There are great coffee places walking distance too. Very close to the Ritz Carlton. Enjoy!"
