"The hotel was one of our best experiences overall in Japan. The rooms beautiful and so well equipped, the public baths were amazing and relaxing. Everything was perfectly clean and we felt so welcome. The staff was really on another level. From the moment we stepped in to the moment we drove away in the taxi - the hospitality and kindness was unparalleled. I would definitely stay there again if I revisit Nara. "

"We had a lovely time here! We were travelling by public transport, and this spot is a little of out of the way, but they sent a shuttle to the train station and it was easy to arrive. It was not clear from their website that the restaurant would not be open for dinner, and the closest restaurant by foot (other than McDonald's) was a 30 minute walk away. That was no problem; we had a nice walk, a great dinner, and really loved the onsen!"

"This is my first time to Nara. This is my favorite hotel I have stayed at this year. The hotel staff are very friendly and kind. If we arrive early, they will give me a room in advance. "We liked everything! A beautifully restored traditional Japanese house, even the smallest, simplest details had been attended to. Very clean, almost spotless. Managed by a lovely older couple, we couldn't have had a more wonderful stay. Plenty of room for a couple or even six people, which we intend to do in the future by bringing our sons & their wives on a future stay. Although there are no nearby restaurants within in walking distance, there is a 7-11 just five minutes away. Plenty of good,...
