"It’s a journey to get there but once you are there you absolutely love it. The staff and the property I are specifically detailed in its blend of architecture into its surroundings. We stayed in 116 which was just across the street from the main lobby and my kids loved it. We had our very own onsen and sauna like a private oasis in the mountains. And my kids have severe allergies to most nuts and sesame and the restaurant was more than happy to accommodate our needs. Language was the only barrier but that’s Japan and it’s our fault for not paying more attention to learning the language in another country. Besides that, this is an absolutely escape from the busy life of Tokyo. And if you are adventurous, hike from town to town like the shoguns once did."
"From the very start to the very finish of our stay, my family and I felt so very welcomed. The hotel was extremely clean and orderly. This particular hotel is very cozy. The onsen bath/ ofuro was extremely relaxing, clean, and refreshing. The staff are above and beyond professional and extremely courteous. We will definitely come back to stay at this hotel. We highly recommend this hotel after a long day of hiking and sightseeing."
"The hotel is excellent especially the hotel staff. Although we were late, the shuttle bus was still searching for us in the train station. He also led the tour for star watching at night and it was amazing.
The hotel is really traditional and the meal was so good. We loved the outdoor and private onsen. Environment was exceptional peaceful in the forest."
