"Overall loved the place. There were a few niggles like the garden lights being intentionally turned off detracting from the atmosphere, penny-pinching in the extreme. Not being able to leave the washing machine or dishwasher on when going out because the electricity fob was locked to the door key, very patronising, especially considering the money paid for rental.the location was excellent and the outside ameneties great. Did think more effort could be put into a welcome basket maybe salt pepper...

"House was clean with breathtaking views as advertised! Was not prepared for steep hill access to villa. Took a few trips to be comfortable with the drive; recommend a SUB rental.Communication with owner and house manager was on point. Owner provided detailed directions, as per location and surrounding areas. However, still have to be careful with GPS directions as it can take you areas that are not suitable for tourist driving. We had a wonderful family trip, and would recommend Villa Cassandra!"

"This is a superb villa option and perfect for our mixed age group of parents, adult children and grandma. The villa is very clean, really well stocked with what you need and with stunning views over Souda Bay. You need a car to explore but we loved the location. Plaka has a number of restaurants and is only a short stroll away and the hidden cove of Koutalas is an absolute gem."

"This was a beautiful, spacious house set in the foothills with an amazing view. It was peaceful , clean, and had everything I needed in the kitchen. The hosts were easy to communicate with. "The property is very well appointed and is big enough for a family of 10 to fit in very comfortably. There are just a few points to mention, you will need a car if staying at this villa as the local town is a good 20-30 minute walk away. Some of the indoor furniture and work surfaces have seen better days but we were impressed with the twice weekly cleaning and the attention to detail. The garden and pool are very well kept. "Villa Tamos is a wonderful, well-equipped, spacious villa in a beautiful setting and we absolutely loved our time there. The pool is as perfect as the view and grounds and Stuart and Lorraine were super-helpful hosts. The villa is well located for exploring Crete and the restaurants/bars/shops of Almyrida are only ten minutes drive away. There is a long unmade track to the property, which needs driving with care, but it's well worth it, and we hope to return one day! Thank you for everything....

"The views took our breath away every day. The location is out of this world. The panoramic sea views, the sound of the crickets, the mountains. The pool is a great size and there are many balconies and terraces to enjoy the views. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. There are many towns within close driving distance and lovely beaches nearby too. We’d come back in a heartbeat."

"Upon our arrival we were upgraded to a suite and it was excellent. the front desk staff were super accommodating and always seemed to be working, no matter the hours. The rooms are spacious and super clean. We rented a car and there was underground parking. We love walking and could easily walk to the old town ( about 20 minutes) and eat and shop. However, there was also an amazing bakery about one block ( around the corner)from our hotel where we picked up breakfast and sandwiches for the day....

"The owner is amazing. My phone had died so I didn't directions to get to the hotel. I found a shop owner that called her and she walked 10 minutes to where I was and walked me back. Each room is individualize and mine had a private entrance. There were lots of personal touches that made the place feel special. I can't recommend this hotel more. If I am ever back in Chania I will stay here again."
