Although the area nearby wasn't so pretty, it was easily walkable (10-15 mins) into the lovely streets of Psyri where there were plenty of places for eating, and then onto central Athens. "This property was just "WOW" great view of the park in front. A 5 euro cab to all the places we wanted to see.
