"We love Rumbling Bald Resort. There is a ton to do there with kids (indoor/outdoor pool, miniature golf, beach). The unit was nice and the description/photos were accurate. The location was easy to get to inside the resort. We did not get starter samples of soap, shampoo, dishwasher tabs, etc even though the description said we would. When I called security to ask for some (the number we were given to call) no one would ever answer the phone (despite multiple attempts). Only other real complaint...

When we first arrived, I was not wowed by the lobby but our room was wonderful. It was updated and very clean. The cleaning crew went the extra mile. The breakfast was not the best. There was a waffle maker, which is good but that was about it. Coffee in the lobby was hot and fresh even in the evening when we got back to the hotel. Overall, we were very pleased. One thing that was a little strange is that the entrance to the hotel property is through the parking lot of an ice cream place....

We enjoyed our three day stay at the Firehouse. It's an old fire and police station situated a few blocks off Main Street. The rooms were decorated nicely although most of the building is original (and in very good condition) which we enjoyed seeing. We stayed in the Chocolate Room six months ago and checked in on Dec. 31st, New Year's Eve. We got there at around 10 at night. Many of the other guests and the staff were asleep. I am a solo nurse traveling for work and I was greatly satisfied. They made check-in super easy, I was close to the building in a well lit area and felt very safe. My accommodation was extremely clean. And leaving for work again early ,they made check out very easy as well. The front desk staff was friendly, courteous ,helpful ,and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this location to o my coworkers.
