Travelodge by Wyndham Low Moor Near Covington

"TravelLodge featured a comfortable clean room that is well maintained. The only convenience I missed was there is no coffeemaker in the room as is common many places. BUT... if that is the only comment, this place is really good. I will stay there again if passing through the area, Penny's Diner adjacent to the Hotel is an easy affordable coffee source, Penny's Diner staff were super friendly, cool personalities and classic short order menu that most youngsters in other areas do not get to experience, It is also very convenient that the Hotel Front us co-located there. One last item of interest: CSX (Railroad) has a contract with that location. "Crew Lounge" is not a guest area, It is for their employees. The morning after I simply looked in there and walked out, unsuspectingly, a big prominent sign was on the closed door that I did not see when it was open. Understanding the importance of honoring contracts, and hosting in-transit personnel, I suggest TravelLodge inform non-CSX guests to avoid uncomfortable moments or Paper Signs telling the unsuspecting traveller to "Keep Out"."

"Overall we enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. A special appreciation for Rebecca, she checked us in Friday night and was excellent. The only downside was tge alarm went off several times Friday night and Saturday night. Not sure if someone was smoking but it was annoying and interrupted our rest."

"Wonderful stay in this quaint but spacious apartment. Great setting with a beautiful stream close by. Plenty of parking and a fabulous restaurant (Gustave’s Bistro) in an attached building. It’s self check-in but we hadn’t received the check in email with door codes by the time we arrived. Fortunately, there was a phone number and the owner immediately provided the email so entry was not an issue at all. We would highly recommend this place."

"Great place, right next to the spa. The sulfur smell from the water was hard to adjust to. Host provided everything needed - kcups, water, paper products, etc."

"Excellent staff. The room was a bit warm because the sun hits the room all afternoon, but we were out for the day. Maybe bring a small fan for the night to help out the a/c. It was a hot July day and a/c was working overtime. Comfortable bed. No amenities but there is a community pool down the street you can use for a small fee. Breakfast-you might want to eat out but we managed. Eggs and heated vegetables, and you have to look for the breakfast area or you’ll miss it. Okay for an overnight stay in a small town if you’re passing through. Beautiful scenery and I highly recommend a picnic at the Humpback covered bridge and also Petticoat Junction nearby if you love butterflies!"

"This is the most beautiful stay in the mountains. Was so nice to feel so far away and serene, but also be close to food and groceries at the same time. Host Rob&Caley were very welcoming and sincere. We can not wait to return in the winter!!"

"The lodge was right next door to the cafe and the salt cave. It was wonderful to have a free session inside the salt cave while staying there. We were so relaxed afterwards and slept like babies that night. Several people noted that they didn't have any pain during the night like they usually do. We attributed that to the sulpher water and the salt! This was my second visit here and I'll probably go back again!"

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay here for our anniversary getaway. The location was perfect and peaceful and central to everything we wanted to do, especially the trail and Lake Moomaw. We will definitely be back for another visit and have already told all our friends about it. Gary and Pam are phenomenal and by far the best hosts I've ever experienced."
