Excellent hotel in a great location on the beach and only a 10min stroll into town. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel facilities were good and the hotel is spotless. Cannot think of any downsides to this hotel!

Sadly the sunbeds seem to be reserved often not occupied, it needs to stop all the best areas taken so early, I even went down at 8.30am to try get a good spot but no luck

3 night stay in late November

A friendly hotel with very good food, in a nice area. It is in its own little area but very close to the centre. There are some very good cafes, bars and restaurants opposite the hotel as well as a couple of small supermarkets. It is right on the beach with some amazing sunsets and sunrises. Good wifi and tv, indoor and outdoor pool and extensive sitting areas. The food choices were extensive and all high quality with outdoor dining options.

Very friendly staff and clean rooms. The house keeping staff were excellent and always say hello when passing in the halls. However no real service around the pool and you have to get up early to secure a lounger. Beds on the beach which don’t belong to the hotel are never available.

Adults only, half board based around buffets for breakfast and dinner. I have travelled extensively and eaten at many buffets - yes, I have had better occasionally but this Hotel's offering beats most established chains hands-down. Quality and choice - superb. Not crowded or crushed. Go for it

Still the best around

Staff were very friendly and super- helpful to my 93-year old mother. Nothing was too much trouble. All the staff have been there many years and recognised us as return guests. Mum loved the indoor pool, as the lifeguard lent her a 'noodle' to support her. All-in-all an excellent stay at a great hotel where the staff make the difference.

Staff mostly excellent except for two evening staff near the coffee machine who rushed too quickly to clear the tables even before the meal was finished and broke the atmosphere among new friends. Everyone else was excellent.

This property is beautifully located right on the beach. It is however a much older clientele. We felt out of place as two younger travelers. I would choose an airbnb that is near the city center if you are younger. The people that were enjoying the property looked very happy and the place is spotless!

Overpriced

Overpriced, took an hour to check in because the booking wasn't on the system so if U book last minute as we did U have to wait. Food was awful. Definitely not a 4 star hotel , for €250 a night I expected a lot better. Delay to check in and the fact the pool closed at 6:30pm meant we had 25mins at the pool, was dirty, tissues floating in it. Pool bar shut at 6pm, guy was pretty rude when I enquired about getting a drink. Staff in the restaurant were pleasant.

Wonderful family weekend.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of Nerja and on the beach. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Everyone a joy to deal with. Offered Cava on arrival and a complimentary shower/changing room as we didn’t leave the property until 6.00 pm. Highly recommend. Spotless, lovely decor, fantastic setting.

A Lovely stay at the Rui Monica

I had a lovely 2 week stay at Rui Monica. The staff were very friendly , Food delicious lots of choice, very good entertainment in the evenings. So easy to get to the beach front from Hotel. I had a little accident were I fell and the staff were amazing so kind, caring and helpful. Antonio the manager was lovely. Thank you all for your kindness and help.

Excellent séjour, hôtel bien situé, chambre agréable , seul point négatif: 1 seul restaurant à la carte ouvert avec menu restreint.Le menu du buffet est très varié et c’était très apprécié d’ouvrir la terrasse.
