"Spotlessly clean. Excellent staff. Pool was covered for our stay. What made this stay memorable was the restaurant attached. One of the best 3 course meals I can remember and unbelievable value for money. Fantastic wine list to boot. If you stay here you must try the restaurant. The hotel was not busy but the restaurant was full. The breakfast in the separate hotel dining room was only average but acceptable. The bed I found much too hard so I did not sleep that well. I would stay here again despite that."

"Parking there is hard to figure out, even with the instructions, it wasn't clearly identified where to find the parking lot. One gentleman, who I'm not entirely sure was actually staff, was kind to help us and let us through the gate. You have to circle the large block to get back around to the parking entrance. For those unfamiliar with the property, it's almost impossible to know where it is as it's definitely not obvious in relation to where you enter the hotel to check in. Staff were friendly enough, but there seemed to only be one dedicated staff member on duty and they were also the bartender at the hotel so we had to check in at the bar. Not a deal breaker, just out of the ordinary. Seemed to be a central spot for disorderly conduct. Cops with canine regularly patrolled the front walkway of the hotel where the bar is located to move the drunks along from loitering, loudly."

"We used this motel as a stay over on our way down to Granite lake for fishing. There are purpose built Self contained log cabins in the grounds of the main building which we stayed in. It was perfect for our needs. Very basic but very clean and comfortable which the price reflects and we were 100% satisfied and enjoyed the owners and locals hospitality. The food and wine was very nice too!"
