And we received a strange SMS message from the housekeeper that we had to pay 100 euro extra, which was not true..."

It’s in a private area with gate system which gives a very secure feeling although being in a sleepy village there wasn’t any cause for worry. parking space for 2 cars. We were glad of the airco in the dining area as temperatures got quite high in the afternoon/evening. "8 of us stayed and found the property exactly as detailed. Bedrooms were all large with comfortable beds and excellent bedding, bathrooms with great showers. Really well equipped inside and out with good quality throughout. Brilliant location - 15min walk to town centre, 2 mins to large Leclerc, great for a base to explore the wine route. "We stayed for 1.5 weeks in this very pleasant cottage. It has a small kitchen on the ground floor, lounge and dining table on the first floor and a nice bedroom in the attic. The cottage is newly refurbished with new wooden floorboards and beams complementing the original 18th-century ones which gives it a nice atmosphere. The cottage is only a few minutes' walk from the vineyards and the dozens of well-marked trails that criss-cross the Alsace region, including the GR5 route. Barr serves well...
