Everything needed was at the accomodation, but mainly dined out in the numerous cafe/bar restaurants . Property tastefully decorated with large windows allowing streams of light in. We were in a quiet neighborhood. A grocery store was nearby. We appreciated having a washer and a dryer. Katrien was a gracious hostess and got us wonderful seats for the Procession of the Holy Blood, a parade held in May. Katrien promptly replied to text messages and helped us with taxi service. "It's possible that I should have read the description more closely, but I was expected a private villa, perhaps behind the host's home? That's not the case. You are staying in a semi-private part of someone's home with them. It is a beautiful home, and the owners were very nice. Still, I was thrown at first after an exhausting day of travel - so just be aware. It was nice to have bikes available to us, but know none are kid-sized and they're not in the best of shape. "Great location - just 2 mins from the Gentport and an easy stroll via the park into the centre of Bruges. Parking in private space a few minutes walk away. We left the car there the whole time after drop off, as everything is so convenient. Home from home with everything you could possibly need and more. "Fantastic stay. I was celebrating with 13 other friends. The house was perfect for us, lovely hot tub and games area, kitchen facilities were well maintained with plenty of fridge space. The rooms were very clean on arrival and just as expected. Geert was very accomodating. Taxis for all of us into Ghent would have been €240 however a 30 min walk to the loc train station saved us a lot of money. "
