If you are in Nevers for a pilgrimage to visit St. Bernadette, there is no better place to stay than this property. It is the convent where Bernadette lived the final years of her life, and it is her final resting place. The rooms are simple and don't have some of the frills of modern hotels, but that only adds to the "retreat" quality of the experience. The peace, quiet, and beauty of the property are incredibly special.

When we arrived after a 7 hour journey, My 81 year old father in law along with my wife and myself were made to virtually argue at check as we were told we had 3 rooms, not two and they wanted payment for the third room, and would NOT accept that we only had 2 rooms booked. Eventually after 30 minutes they printed out the bookings and showed them to me. I pointed out that the third room they were wanting to pay for was dated April 2022, This is now July. Apologies all round, and I paid the City tax for 3 people for 1 night. Then after we checked out at 09:00 the next morning we were chased down the corridor and told we had to pay the city tax. Poor show all round for what is a beautiful place that we have visited many times before. This visit left a VERY POOR taste in my mouth, for what is a beautiful place. Reception staff need basic training, based on our experience.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber! Wenn die Touristen fort sind hat man Ruhr und Stille in der Kapelle, in der die Nonne Bernadette im Glasschrein liegt. Das Auto parkt sicher hinter den abgeschlossenen Klostermauern. Das Frühstück war wie in Frankreich üblich. Wir können diese Unterkunft, die was besonderes ist, weiterempfehlen!
