The Neighborhood:
Holloway Terrace is a solid, blue-collar neighborhood first established in 1916. It’s a down-to-earth area currently in the middle of a redevelopment boom—you’ll see original 100-year-old homes mixed right in with brand-new construction. This isn't a "fancy" high-end district; it’s an honest, hardworking community that has been steadily revitalizing since the early 2000s.
Navigation Tip: Because we are located right off I-295 (the first exit after the Delaware Memorial Bridge), GPS apps usually route you through a commercial strip of older, low-budget motels to get here. While the people staying there generally stick to the main road and don't come into the neighborhood, driving past them isn't the best "welcome."
For a better arrival experience: Set your GPS to the Route 9 Library & Innovation Center first. Once you reach the library, put in the house address. It’s only a half-mile away, but this route brings you through the heart of the residential neighborhood instead of the highway commercial zone.
Getting Around:
Parking: Dedicated parking is available at the house (driveway is a bit steep and best to come at it from a 45 degree approach.
Rideshare: Uber and Lyft are very active here and usually arrive quickly.
Public Transit: It is a .5-mile walk to the nearest bus station (New Castle Ave @ Hillview Ave, Stop ID: 1776).
Other Things to Note:
To ensure a secure and pleasant stay for all our guests, please take note of the following:
• Guest Verification: We require a government-issued photo ID and your agreement to our terms and conditions before check-in is finalized.
• Security Deposit: Please be aware that a security deposit of $1,500 may be charged at the host's discretion as part of our standard security procedure.
Interaction with Guests:
We prioritize your privacy and comfort. While we won't be present during your stay, we are always available to answer questions or provide assistance. Please feel free to reach out to us via the messaging app or by phone at any time. From time to time we may need to access the garage as we store cleaning supplies and rugs in there for other properties, the garage has a side door and we would use that, and would never enter the house.
