"This is one of the best properties I’ve ever stayed in. If you are headed up north to visit your children in college you can stay here cook a home made meal for them and enjoy the beautiful scenery. I absolutely love this property and would stay here over and over again who knows"

The Colonial Hotel

"This is a dated, solid 3-star hotel. The interior finishes all need a serious refresh. I was on the ground floor in a nice room, but the Wi-Fi was terrible and they stuck me down by the mechanical plant and housekeeping offices. Normally not a bid deal but they left the doors open to the mechanical room the entire time I was in my room. They also need to update the quality and number of WAPs. They were confused when I asked if they had a "business center" because they don't. Given the quality of the Wi-Fi in my room, it would've been nice if they had one.😊 The Colonial Grille is awesome; it is a shining star for this somewhat tired hotel. The restuarant/bar staff are awesome, and the food is good American fare. The bar is a lot of fun, and it's big. This is a local destination for weddings. I was there from Friday to Sunday in late October and I think there were not less than 3 weddings."

"Was very surprise of the hotel, did not think it would be a nice place to stay. Staff was wonderful, food was great, hotel was popular to state travelers. I've seen a lot of different state vehicle plates as far as Alabama, Texas to name a few. Place was full during our stay. Price was good as well. Smell of cigarette was active in the room and we were move to another one. I requested a wake up call very early for the airport. Did not get it and the response was, busy preparing breakfast and did not check the notice. Would be nice if at the beginning of the shift to check if there were any request from the guest."

"The room was clean and the people were polite and helpful. There were lots of places close by to eat and shop! In the evenings, we had young people outside talking quite late , and kept us awake. Traffic close by seemed quite loud. But as we showed up last minute looking for a place , this was reasonable rate compared to other places in the area."

Quiet private pond getaway

"Property was lovely, warm, clean, felt new but also rustic. The setting is beyond beautiful. The fall colors were amazing! Communication with the host was easy. Property can be a bit hard to find at night. We arrived in a sedan which was fine in good weather, but with snow the last mile might be tricky. The water occasionally runs brown so I would recommend bringing drinking water."
