"Beautifully restored Inn. However, it’s run without people. I arrived, after being misled by my mapping software, and fortunately the owner was in the bar and helped me very graciously to my room. Without him, I would not have known what to do without a lot of email review. I am old, not a techie and that would have added to my exasperation of being misled by the map app.
My room was very well kept. The door was the wrong size or something as it let a lot of light in from the hallway. This would bother some, I suspect, as the room never got dark. No glasses or cups so I had to take my meds by scooping up water with my hands.
Amazing mattress and bed linen. This is probably the #1 thing in any hotel/inn/whatever room. I slept very well. Two lights in the bathroom; one overhead with wall switch and one over the mirror that I could not figure out how to turn on.
No info pamphlet in the room with Inn info, e.g. breakfast is located here, doors work this way, main door works this way, restaurant requires (?) reservations. I know the look Ma no hands way of operating is probably cost efficient but the word “Inn” sets me up for a real Inn with folks hanging around a living area, or by the fireplace on a cold night, or playing table games in the living area. Not having this OK as long as you know what you are getting into.
Overall a beautiful restoration and if you know the drill a great place to stay."
