"A small but charming 1 bedroom apartment with a living room, kitchen and bathroom. The furniture, especially the bed, was very comfortable. The kitchen came stocked with some supplies, including coffee pods for the Keurig machine. It was very helpful that there was a washer/dryer with detergent. Off-street parking was not available but there was always a spot on the street out in front. We enjoyed our stay."

Our host, Marion was easy to work with and very friendly - giving us some restaurant suggestions in the area and able to accommodate us when our check-in time changed last minute and was very responsive to questions prior to our trip. "As a lover of architecture, it scratched the itch to stay in a historic mansion. Like much of Richmond, IL, this house was many decades past its prime, witnessed by the broken car parked out front and the 70's apartment complex that overlooks its backyard. The home has tons of space and some beautiful original features, but you have to balance them with the broken, mismatched thrift store furniture, the challenging lack of outlets/strangely placed switches and dusty old curtains some on broken...

"Solo trip to visit my son at Miami University. Pleasant, cozy, had everything I needed - Easy to regulate the heat, open some windows to let a breeze in, etc. Downstairs visitors came and went and while I heard some of their movements or talking, none was bothersome at all. Quiet in the evenings and mornings. Beautiful setting on a hillside farm with goats in a pen that you can visit. The main house is also on the property and while friendly, the people coming and going kept to themselves. So...

"My patents were celebrating their 64 year anniversary. We wanted to celebrate with a short trip and this was the perfect location. The property was beautiful and we enjoyed the walk in the woods and fishing. The covered wagon was a unique stay and one we will remember."

"This place was amazing! We came to Richmond for a funeral and had a total of 22 people traveling from every corner of the US. We had about 10 people stay at the house and everyone slept great. It was a perfect place to entertain, relax and enjoy nature after it warmed up a bit. The firepit was so much fun, the lake was beautiful to look at and the kitchen was spectacular to entertain for a feast! The place is very close to town for any last minute groceries.
