We stayed here as a family of four and had a comfortable time. The location is excellent—very close to the subway, with a convenience store right downstairs. We were able to walk to Times Square, the Flatiron Building, and the Empire State Building without any problems. The kitchen tools were in great condition, the beds were cozy, and there were plenty of towels provided.
However, there were a couple of issues worth noting. The key was extremely difficult to use, to the point where it became frustrating. Even though the host seems to be aware of the issue, it hasn’t been fixed, which is surprising given the risk of being locked out. Switching to a keypad or smart lock would be a huge improvement. Also, when we arrived, there was a strong musty smell in the unit because the laundry had been left wet in the dryer. After contacting the host, we were told to handle it ourselves, which felt a bit dismissive and unprofessional.
That said, the apartment itself is nice, the price is reasonable for the area, and the location is hard to beat. If the host becomes more responsive to guest feedback, this place could easily be a top pick.
