"BEWARE!!! This was terrible. It’s not a hotel by any means. Located in a bad neighborhood, there is no one there to greet you. We stood on a rotting porch for 15 minutes after ringing the ring doorbell only to be told someone would be there in 2 minutes. The smoke alarm dead battery screech coming from inside told me enough. "The parking attendant was amazing. Also, we missed the shuttle to Penn Station and one of the gentlemen got out the shuttle and took us. Such great people."

"Hotel is slightly dated. Parking lot is old (some cracked pavement) but clearly is kept clean. Room was immaculate (we stayed there a week so this was very important). Only issue we had was after checking in the floor we stayed on had a strong pot smell. We reported it to the staff and it was taken care of immediately. Had no problems thereafter. They always had someone at the front desk and they were pleasant and helpful. Two ways to get to the hotel- off Route 3(not the best since there Route 3 is a bit of a mess with aggressive driving and an exit just past the turn off for the hotel). Back entrance/exit is more tame and allows easy exist and entrance to the property. Cost for a week was way more reasonable than staying closer to the city (Hoboken, Jersey City, etc). Glad we picked this LaQuinta and would go back."

"Our flight was canceled at Newark Liberty. I went on my Expedia app and made a reservation here at Hampton Inn based on the reviews and amenities. I called ahead of time to see if I could check in early (I am a disabled veteran who requires assistance), and Elaine very positively told me to come in, enjoy the free breakfast and chill in the lobby until she can see how to accommodate us. Elaine came through quickly, and our room was nice and cold, clean and comfortable, and we were full from a hot and tasty breakfast and exhausted from traveling and delays. The bed and bedding was wonderful! The shuttle bus driver, Ralphy, deserves kudos for being the most friendly, informative, and helpful staff member along with Elaine. Highly recommend this property for Newark Liberty airport stays."

"Room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was not included but there was a breakfast bar to purchase breakfast items until 12.30pm at a reasonable price. Location was great for our itinerary as we were in and out of the city and New Jersey. Parking was available and easily accessible. Would return overall great stay. Hotel was perfect for what we needed."

"I love that the property was clean and it was nearby The Penn station honestly that’s what’s great. it might be a little sketchy when you walk out between the hotel and penn station but nothing major as it’s always filled with people so it’s not like you’re totally alone. Plus after six the doors don’t open unless you have your hotel card."
