"Clean, newly redecorated, cozy with a wonderful view. Because it was rainy and cold, we weren’t able to enjoy the deck or the kayaks or paddle boat. But it’s so cozy that we found the view all we needed. Visit ‘Hit The Road Joe’! It’s a little quirky, cash only, but man is the food good! We went for 3 different meals in our 2 night stay, including the wood fired pizza Friday.One tip: if you enjoy reading, take a little reading lamp - the light in the bedroom and living room isn’t conducive, though the lamps are classy."

"The Castaway Resort was exactly what I was looking for. Quiet, clean and cozy. My views of Croton Dam Pond were fabulous and I even got to see some Baltimore Orioles. I went for a week of solitude to spend time weaving on my little workshop loom. I had the peace and quiet I needed to concentrate. The Hosts, Bob and Joy were 100% available and accommodating, and my sweet dog Poppy was completely welcomed. I would definitely return. I'm thinking maybe in the fall when kids are back in school."

"My family enjoyed the quiet comfort of the Marigold cottage. The open floor plan was nice, and it was great having a large dining table and Keurig coffee maker. Our only issue was sleeping space: The bunk bed room was only big enough for the bed itself so we had to move some furniture around, and we couldn't pull the trundle bed out in the living room without moving the TV stand, so we had to improvise. The fish were biting off the shore and dock, however, so we were happy!"
