"What a lovely place to stay. The staff were very friendly and on hand to offer ideas. The breakfast was great, fresh, well prepared and served by either a smile. The room was clean, quiet and came with fresh milk. The accommodation was a little out of the main area but only a few minutes walk. Easy parking. My partner and I will definitely return."

"From the minute we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The rooms were beautifully clean and housekeeping were in every day. Breakfast was really good a lot of variety, well cooked, always hot. Buffet style but replenished constantly. Well sited for the touring of the lakes by whatever way you wish to do so."

"From the outside the Lakeland doesn’t look very inviting, net curtains looking drab and the white building aging. The staff were lovely and very helpful, got into the room and every step I took, there was some almighty creaking from the floor boards. Had a decent night sleep though! Breakfast was a little disappointing l, there was mouldy bread left out. I ordered a fry up which looked amazing when it came out, the only issue was the size, it would’ve been perfect for a child not for a 6 foot bloke"
