The hotel was near to the rvi hospital, when people look to book here put in large print you need photo identification, not in the small print.

I hadn't stayed in a hostel since the early 1990s, so was a little hesitant as a 57 year old. Turns out it was great! I'd easily do it again as the room was great and the service was excellent.

Amazing price for city centre hotel

The hotel is in great city centre location. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was very clean. The staff made us very welcome and do a great job. The live entertainment was good.

Nice hotel overall. The negatives were noise from the street down below. The windows are not soundproof and actually thought they were open due to being able to hear people talking 3 storeys down. The bathroom was very small. Room had some brown stains on wall. Lots of positives though. Staff super freindly. Bed was super comfy. Double bed and bunk bed for extra people. The hotel doubles up as a hostel for homeless. Noce bar. Lovely for younger crowds. Good location in city. Parking nearby at small cost.

This was my second time staying at Kabannas and had another enjoyable stay. We stayed in a private double room this time and the room was clean, plenty spacious, and the bed was very comfortable! The bathroom was a little small but suitable with a good shower. There were enough plug sockets too which were confidently located. The bar area is a nice area with food and drinks well priced, and the staff are also very friendly! The location was good, within a 10-15 minute walk from the main station, town centre and football stadium. Kabannas offers great value for money and I would happily stay here again, and recommend the hotel for those visiting Newcastle and looking for a good value for money place to stay.

First experience at Kabannas NewCastle

Our stay was good. We were comfortable. We would have loved to havre abit of variety interms of food apart from pizza. Overall, we he's a good stay. Will definitely recommend it to others

Fantastic, cheap and great location.

I stayed for Three nights, the staff were very helpful. I stayed in a private double.The room was clean, tidy and quiet. The bed was comfortable and I slept well each night. The bar downstairs was friendly and had a great selection of drinks. I didn't eat from the kitchen, but the people around me were happy with the food choices and the quality of it If I'm ever in Newcastle again, this would be my first choice of stay

Bathroom had mold and door didnt shut 2 staff entered the room disturbed me sleeping separate times extra charge for the room which wasnt explained a nice looking room but bad mattress and pillows (very very hard) good if u desperately need somewhere to stay although theres cheaper and better.

We stayed overnight after a concert at the arena.Althogh we normally stay closer to central station, this hotel was a reasonable distance to walk. We stayed in a room with private ensuite & it was very clean roomy and airy. Although there was no Aircon and had to sleep with the window open, we had a good night's sleep. Close to bars and city centre this hotel is quiet. If you're looking for a cheap clean convenient hotel, for a short stay this hotel is a good choice. Bed was huge & comfy and staff very friendly. We would recommend the pizzas, handmade on the premises, delicious and fresh too. Well done to all the staff, you are amazing.

Great hostel

Stayed here a few times. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, great location. Had an issue with the TV not working on our last stay, apparently this is an issue across the hotel so would not recommend if a TV is a must for you. I was staying with my young daughter and the gent on duty (didn't get his name unfortunately but he was fantastic!) got us sorted in the end. It's a typical hostel. Doesn't have kitchen facilities but does food (small menu but very tasty) and there's plenty of bars and restaurants in the city centre, just a short walk away. The bar area is great, and good beers on tap.

I guess, you get what you've paid for...

Bad odours that made you doubt about the cleanliness of the property. Wear and tear. I guess that is what you get for £39 per night? Breakfast £1 per item. 5 items for £4.50. Never seen it before. If you want a proper English Breakfast or just simply breakfast, I suggest to go to the city centre and you'll find many Cafes who do breakfast or at the Grainger Market.
