"I hate to leave a review like this but others should know before booking. Pictures and descriptions of the hotel are misleading. Pool was dirty with white residue in corners. The ceiling in our room had dark spots, water or mold. The grout in the bathroom was moldy. The hotel advertised breakfast but after checking in the hotel clerk told us they do not offer breakfast. We were originally given a room already assigned to another woman. Thank goodness she had her door locked because who knows that we would have walked in on. The entire third floor smelt like cigarette smoke. They charge a daily resort fee for parking and beach wagons. The sofa beds are basically wire, barely a mattress. The wall lights flicker when the door closes like an old motel. On the flip side, the positives are they give free drink tickets at check in and It’s close to the beach."

"This is an upcoming property. The owners have taken on a big job and they are steadily improving this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and spotless. The beds were firm but comfortable and the linens were very clean and fresh. The fixtures are dated but they functioned flawlessly. No issues with insects. The A/C cooled nicely and had a constant fan function to block out nighttime noises. There was plenty of parking and no undesirable persons were ever seen lurking about the premises. I look forward to coming back in the future to see how the owners progress. It was a good deal for the money, and very convenient to MCAS Cherry Point's main gate. There are also plenty of nice restaurants nearby. Let's help the owners bring this property up to the next level. They can't do it without our support. Definitely recommend."

2 Minutes from the Water! Pet-Friendly Fully Fenced Backyard!

"The first couple days we noticed there were some shortcomings with the listing such as missing items that were listed as supplied, but not there. The previous guests left trash out by the street and there were items of trash throughout the backyard that needed to be picked up, so our dog would not eat them. The gas grill needs to be replaced and when we got there and went to use the grill the first night the gas tank was empty. The communication with the host was respectable. Missing beach chairs and beach towels were dropped off at the door a day after we got there along with a full gas tank for the grill. All in all we enjoyed our stay and very much liked the area."

"We were an extended family gathering for a wedding. The house was fantastic. Spacious, clean, user friendly that nothing was a burden even when cooking for our large group. The pool is wonderful and location is excellent. We would without a doubt stay there again."

"The property was very well stocked in the kitchen. Great coffee and tea selection. Had to empty grounds and clean pot but worth it for great coffee. Loved the gate on front porch for my puppy to stay safe. Met the neighbors across the street and fantastic people. The decorations inside was very beachy too. Thanks"
