My husband and I skipped off to the coast for a quick two-night trip to the Newport to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived late at night and absolutely loved that we could hear the sea lions off in the distance even though we couldn't actually *see* the bay until the following morning. The space felt absolutely perfect and cozy and we really loved sitting at the kitchen table in the morning over a home-cooked breakfast, sipping coffee and staring out at the spectacular view. Felt like we had complete privacy and were out of the touristy fray, but within just a couple of minutes of everything Newport has to offer. Thanks to the host for a perfectly stocked and updated bathroom, excellent DVD collection, and full array of cooking utensils. Only note to future guests was that the pantry is pretty much fully bare (no essentials like spices, oils, etc. Just salt, pepper, and sugar). I gave the feedback and maybe they'll update that, but just be mindful that you'll likely have to bring or buy those items if you plan on doing any cooking while staying here. (We just bought supplies for breakfast and ate out for lunch and dinner.)
