Milk Churn Cottage is part of a 17th Century Manor House and is located within a walled courtyard shared by two other cottages with its own private access and car parking facility. The building was previously part of a large working farm and the 'Milk Churn' is where the milk would have been placed before going out for delivery. It has recently been refurbished and boasts a new bathroom along with a lounge and two bedrooms. There is one double bedroom and the other has bunk beds.
The cottage is located close to the main A38 which goes to Plymouth and Cornwall so access to the tourist sites of Devon and Cornwall is very easy. It is within walking distance of the town of Ashburton, known for its Antiques Trail and long history as the centre of the wool and mining industries of days gone by. It is also within walking distance of a pub/restaurant at Furzeleigh Mill as well as the town of Buckfastleigh which hosts the South Devon Steam Railway running to Totnes. Access to Dartmoor is within ten minutes by car and the beaches of South Devon are less than half an hour's drive.
We are currently ensuring that the property remains empty for 36 hours between each guest in order to minimise the risk of Covid19 transmission.
