"Arrived late afternoon and were greeted by a ni e young lady. Quickly shown to room. She even carried our bags for us. A spotless room, nicely decorated with lovely walk on shower. Comfortable beds with fresh clean linen and choice of towels. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal at competitive prices followed. A couple of well presented and tasty trad ales finished the night. A thouroughly delicious breakfast was served by the landlady prior to our leaving. The Talbot is a friendly traditional pub serving a good selection of well kept drinks Well priced . There is a handy free carpark. Dogs are welcome only in the bar. The stairs to bedrooms may prove difficult for disabled guests otherwise the Talbot is an excellent inn to visit and stay."

"We had a lovely stay at The Feathers. Highlights - well appointed, modern room with comfortable bed; central location; extremely helpful and friendly staff; and very dog friendly. We didn't eat dinner or breakfast there so cannot comment on the food or restaurant service. Room for improvement - the room was a bit warm (even on a chilly June day) but by opening the window, it became too noisy. Not sure how such an old building could handle that - but otherwise, we very much enjoyed our stay, would stay again and would recommend to others! "

"Excellent stay, Tim and Helen made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. The room was well presented with lots of hospitality extras and the bed and pillows were super comfy. Although the breakfast is only a continental (which suited us perfectly) there was a fantastic choice with the addition of lovely homemade bread/toast. Not sure when, but we will definitely be going back there when we're in the area."

"Visiting family on Saturday 7th June for a week so decided to go a day earlier and stayed at the Lowfield Inn and thoroughly enjoyed the stay the room was very nice and comfortable.We had a very nice meal with a drink and all the staff were very friendly and helpful The breakfast was nice and if we are up this way again we will certainly stay again."

"Budget hotel and great value for money. Excellent breakfast, cleanliness great. Friendly staff. Room very small but bed comfortable, tv in room and very grateful for ensuite. Some road noise. Always found somewhere to park on the road when car park full. However, it is advertised as a budget hotel so no complaints at all. Stayed for 6 nights with 2 single rooms."
